Dean Brandhagen has been actively involved in the recovery community for the past 28 years.

He has assisted many folks in a positive way, freeing them to to turn their lives around, moving past coping skills, right up to blooming and blossoming individuals enjoying a great new life where once they had been plagued with slavery to their addictions, stuck energies, frozen or guilty feelings.

An accomplished author, songwriter, and Toastmaster, he has facilitated many recovery workshops in both Canada and US. He has also been published many times in recovery based publications like Overeaters Anonymous "Lifeline" magazine, AA's "Grapevine" Magazine, Gamblers Anonymous monthly Bulletin, Toastmaster magazine. Also, published in OA's latest recovery daily meditation book, "Voices of Recovery".

Dean has a long history as a webmaster as well, having developed and maintained many industry, business, recovery and association websites.

This Sex Inventory 2008 has evolved from a simple questionnaire tool developed by a Narcotics Anonymous member who worked with many of her sponsorees that were trying to recover from their drug addictions and needed to deal with their lives as sex trade workers.

In the year 2000, a short version of this self help inventory was given as a weekend workshop to a group of recovering compulsive overeaters and recovering sex addicts.

An amazing unexpected event happened after that sex inventory workshop in 2000. Many of the attendees began to feel better about themselves and lost a lot of weight. Many of the same folks have maintained their weight losses for eight years now.

Mr. Brandhagen has also spoken about compulsive disorders and addiction recovery to many groups of recovering individuals, counselors and peer counselor groups and health care professionals. His writings on the subject of addiction recovery are currently being utilized by 12 step programs and groups, colleges, universities, addiction treatment centers, counselors and clergy.

In addition, as a successful business person for over 30 years, the author has been involved in many commercial inventory processes and knows the value of this exercise. All 12 step programs use a self inventory as a backbone for their recovery plan.
